John Rahm WITB - U.S. Open Winner

Driver

Jon Rahm plays with the new Callaway Epic Speed Driver with 10.5 degrees of loft. The shaft is an Aldila Tour Green 75 TX. As you can see from Rahm’s swing, he has some unique moves that generate quite a bit of speed. Those moves combined with the ball speed technology in the Epic Speed lead to plenty of distance off the tee.

Fairway Wood

Rahm is more of a fairway guy than a hybrid guy. He carries 15 and 19 degree Callaway Epic Speed fairway woods. Interestingly the 3 and 5 wood have different shafts in them. The Aldila Tour is in the 3 wood to match with the driver, and the 5 wood has the Graphite Design Tour AD DI-8 shaft. Very likely, he was looking for a bit more workability in the 5 wood shaft.

Irons

The Callaway Apex TCB Irons are explicitly built for tour professionals. Unfortunately, these clubs are not available to purchase in the US at this time. Rahm plays the 4-PW with a Project X 6.5 shaft.

Wedges

When it comes to wedges, Rahm takes a very classic approach. He plays with a 52, 56, and 60 degree Jaws Forged Wedge. The wedges have the Project X 6.5 shafts in them so that there is plenty of consistency from the irons down to the wedges. Rahm’s wedge game is really strong and his confidence in his wedges is quite good.

Putter

If you watched Jon Rahm’s finish at the US Open, it was relatively straightforward that the putter was the star of the show. Rolling down those putts on 17 and 18 saved the day and allowed him to be the first-ever Spanish US Open champion. The putter in play is the Callaway White Hot OG Rossie S. the White Hot OG Rossie S looks like a traditional Odyssey putter from many years ago. Rahm loves the feel and the confidence that this putter brings to his game.

Overall you can see that Jon Rahm is a Callaway guy, and his set is very basic and traditional. When you think of the kind of player, he is this really makes quite a bit of sense. Rahm likes to go out there, get his work down, throw in a few smiles and compete with everything he has. This set of golf clubs allows him to do just that.

There is no question that Jon Rahm’s game is on right now. With a win at the US Open following what would have very likely been a win just a few weeks prior, he is playing excellent golf. Rahm has always been a great ball striker, and now he’s got the short game to go along with it. If you wanted Rahm to play his final round at the US Open, you might be wondering what clubs he had in his bag. The good news is that many of these are available for the amateur golfer to play as well. So let’s take a look at what is in Jon Rahms’ bag.
