Overview
The Tour AD HD shaft profile is Firm starting at the handle, Firm in the center section and has a Firm+ tip to promote a Mid-launch angle and Low to Low/Mid ball spin rates. In the testing that we have done so far, we are finding the Tour AD HD shafts to have a one piece type of feel to the shaft and play true to the club head loft that it is installed in, promoting the Mid launch conditions with Low to Low/Mid spin rates that we anticipated
The Tour AD HD utilizes the newer material technology from TORAYCA ® called M40X carbon-fiber pre-preg in the Mid to Tip section on the shaft. The new TORAYCA ® M40X material is 30% stronger in both flexural and compression strength than its predecessor, which allows our engineers the ability to design a shaft that is stronger yet slightly lighter in weight.
The new Tour AD HD also utilizes the FTT – Fast Taper Technology as well as the advanced TORAYCA ® T1100G carbon-fiber pre-preg with NANOALLOY ® technology in the tip section of the shaft for unrivaled shaft stability and precise ball control without the loss of the exceptional feel that Graphite Design shafts are so well known for.
JOCKEY TIP: The Graphite Design Tour AD HD is ideal for the player that desires a low/mid launch angle and low spin, due to the softer butt section, stiff center section and a stiff tip section.
